Helix Leisure, a world leader in out-of-home entertainment, announces the expansion of its US sales and marketing teams. Tomás Cortijo has been appointed Director of Business Development and Channel Marketing for Helix Leisure, and Jim Kipper has been appointed Sales Executive for Helix Leisure subsidiary Embed. Tomás and Jim will support Helix Leisure’s growth by identifying new areas of expansion as well as new opportunities within the existing business.
Tomás brings to the company a wealth of experience in consumer entertainment, having worked for computer gaming peripherals manufacturer Razer and Blizzard Entertainment, creator of the Warcraft series of video games. Tomás will utilize his considerable talents in marketing and business development to identify and capitalize on opportunities for the expansion of Helix Leisure’s brands. Tomás spent the last two years driving and e-biking through North and South America with his family attempting to break a Guinness World Record and to promote sustainable transportation.
Helix Leisure COO, Luke McKimmie said, “With Helix experiencing growth group-wide, it’s so important to bring in great people that understand how to scale, yet respect the importance of the operators that got us here in the first place. Tomás is very adept in this area and will be a driving force behind our ambition to progress the industry through stronger customer and market engagement.”
Jim is an accomplished industry pro with nearly a decade of experience in FEC operations and game room development with Pinnacle Entertainment Advisors by Redemption Plus. There he was responsible for implementing new start-up and remodels of family entertainment centers, creating consulting and vendor agreements, and designing custom game rooms all across North America. His background makes Jim ideally suited to assist Embed customers in designing the optimum revenue management solutions for their operation.
Ted Parsons, General Manager for Helix Leisure USA said, “Jim’s expertise and background in our industry give him a unique ability to show how card systems can make a difference. He really understands the operations and requirements of our current and future customers.”
