Brand new games from LAI made a huge splash at the IAAPA Expo in Orlando. At a show that, according to operators, was light on new game offerings, LAI introduced five innovative new products, including Speed of Light and Balloon Buster.
Betson’s Kyle Berger Plays Speed of Light
Speed of Light, a ticket redemption game that tests player’s speed and reflexes, received accolades from operators, distributors, and players alike. Steve Veach, National Games Manager at Brunswick Bowling said, “Speed of Light is an interactive redemption game that can be enjoyed by all ages. The unique cabinet draws people to it.”
Speed of Light drew crowds of watchers as players made repeated attempts to beat their previous scores. LAI sponsored a competition challenging players to beat a posted score in order to win an Amazon gift card. Dozens of players attempted to win, but only two successfully beat the posted score, including fellow exhibitor and high-wire daredevil Nik Wallenda. The units from the show will be installed in Dallas-based Main Event locations. Availability: January 2012.
Patent Pending Balloon Buster Dart Mechanism
LAI’s newest prize merchandiser, Balloon Buster, also made a splash at the show. David Settles of Brady Distributing hailed the game as “a great merchandiser with a new twist. It appeals to the kid in all of us.” This carnival themed game features prizes suspended by balloons. Players must guide a pin through a hole and pop a balloon via a patent-pending mechanism to win one of five available prizes. Availability: January 2012.
In addition to Speed of Light and Balloon Buster, LAI displayed three other new games: Rainy Days water game for youngsters, Pirate Battle ball toss game, and the wall-mounted Stacker Wall Street. Complete information about all of LAI’s new games can be found at www.LAIGames.com.
